Poverty and Wealth

In the world of Christianity, there is often a question as to whether or not it is ok to be a Christian and to be wealthy.  In America, some TV preachers (also known as liars and heretics) tell us that we deserve to be wealthy, that Jesus was wealthy, and that God owes it to us to fill our pockets with money.  This is just not true.  However, if you are someone who has been blessed with money, it is still ok to be a Christian.  When God blesses people with money, I believe that they have a responsibility to use what they have been given for God's glory.  If you are able to give money to charities to help people living in poverty, or to provide medicines to people living in a third world country, etc., I think you should do so.  To whom much is given, much is required.  I just want to encourage everyone who reads this to do whatever you can to help others.
